Three workshops invite members of the UHI 2021-22 cohort to engage in subject matter and specific research methodologies as well as skills that stand to enhance and inspire their urban humanities practices. Working with artists, filmmakers, and community activists, UH students were introduced to community engagement through filmmaking (Socially Engaged Documentary), art and art process as experiment (Printmaking), and urban recordings (Filmic Sensing) to explore different areas of Los Angeles, Mexico City, and the US-Mexico border at large, and create compelling urban narratives around spatial justice issues.
